I'm using Nexpoint (http://www.ntidesign.com/hosting.php) which is really good. Antother good one to look at is Sectorlink (http://www.sectorlink.com)

well... the best deal ive come by is 1gig of space and 1 gig bandwidth for $9 a month. It has PHP, Perl, mySQL, and i get unlimited POP3 e-mail accounts. If you can beat that than we can talk.

Hope to hear from you soon!

1 gig of BW? No problem! :D

I am sure you meant 10gig, and no we cannot beat that, our closest plan would be 1gig storage/10gig of bandwidth for $13 a month, no setup fee.

heh. they have good support. dont worry about that. and if i need support than i can come to these forums here and ask questions

Matt@Jatol

And then what do you do when one of their servers go down and they don't answer support tickets? This forum is not going to help besides telling you that you should shop for another host. I hope you are right about them having great service, the hosts you mentioned, I have not heard anything about, so I don't know and I am not saying anything about them in particular.

All I am saying is find a host and ask questions on the forums (and not just these forums) about them, don't always jump the gun and go for the cheapest host, price matters not, support is what matters.

Sure, it is a business after all, but honestly I would rather have informed customers coming my way. Those people out there that expect 5gb of space and 50 gb of transfer for $1 a month, well frankly...I would just rather have informed customer who understand the realities behind the hosting business.
Good service and people who actually give a hoot about their customers is the name of the game, not the price. Sure, price is important, but if I was looking for hosting, knew little about hosting and was going to run a business from my site (thus uptime would be important), I would be willing to pay an extra few bucks to ensure I got the support I needed.

If your friends are good, go with them.

am am still lookin toward Jatol. Im sorta confused. On your site when it says yearly, lets say my plan was $13 monthly. On the site it says $130 yearly. Why?

Matt@Jatol
06-17-2002, 05:24 PM
Then that makes two of us... ;)

You must be looking at our old plans (not sure how, since I took them down early this morning!) We no longer offer a $13 plan, but to answer your question.... I dont really understand it! The $130 a year was a discount for paying yearly instead of monthly where it was $13 a month. Thus if you paid yearly, it cost you $156 to get that plan, or pay it yearly (ie paying ahead) it only cost you $130.
A sort of savings for paying a full year. Like buying in bulk at Walmart, buy 1 thing of Pringles it costs you .99 a can, but when you buy that 2 pack, it only runs you $1.59! :D

Yomammyx2,

The most bandwidth you will probally use on a new site is less then 100 MB per month. Would you like to consider one of my starter packages? For only $3.95 you get 50 MB disk space and 1 GB data transfer per month. If you go over your limites we can work out an upgrade path.

This would include PHP, Perl, MySQL db, web mail, control panel, and more!

The client referral program works like this:

You refer a client to Turn Key Hosting and they signup for an account you receive there first month payment in the form of a check mailed to you. For example: You refer Client A to our site and they signup for Plan X at $x.xx per month. Then you would receive a check for $x.xx for the first month. So lets through some numbers out there.

You refer 10 clients who singes up for the $3.95 per month plan then for those 10 clients we would pay you a one-time deal of $39.50

Paying for the year: I don't currently support that option at this time. My billing software is setup on a per month basis.

Ok, rsaylor. Got a question for you, call me the devil's advocate or whatever, I am just curious after visting your site.

I read through your referral program and nowhere does it say anything about those referred clients staying with you. You really need to reword your program before it bites you in the....

Follow along:

I sign up for your hosting. Shortly thereafter I refer say....100 people for your Plan 2 - Advanced ($25.95 per month) plan. Thus I should receive a $259.50 check from you. Two days after receiving this check (this all relies on how speedy your referral service is, so play along and we will assume you are fast ;) ) I get all my referred friends to cancel their payments (chargebacks, which will cost you more as well) and drop your hosting. You would be out $285.45, counting my soon to follow chargeback. Heck, with your 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, you make it even easier for them to do this too you. I rad over your Terms and could not find anything that would protect YOU from this.

See where I am going with this?

All I can say is i really love www.jatol.com (http://www.jatol.com). I was first signed up with HostRocket, and the onyl reason I used them was because at the tiem they were cheap, though I never really cared for there customer service and/or tech support, and I jus left them because they started to completely ignore all tech support requests! I went to Jatol and was instantly impressed, everythign worked out so well, people are so nice...packages are sweet...all i can say is, "I know I need not look further."

Blue host is the cheap and good hosting company.

I bet there is no host that can be called "the very best" Every is better for one and worse for another. For instance if you are going to host java content - hostjava.net is the best to my mind. But for larger php-sites it won't be the best already, despite of being very qualified.

Hostgaor is the best hoisting site.No doubt about that.
