Hi,
I've been looking for a webhosting (free) that has mysql, to run a forum like vbulletin or phpBB on....does anyone have any suggestions? ;)

1. What is your forum about?
2. How many unique visitors does it get per day?
3. How much webspace/bandwdith do you need?
4. Are you willing to put advertising on there?

Hmm..

1. Ok.
2. I'll take that as around 50..
3. Ok.. It's going to be hard to find a web host that will fit your needs then.
4. You can't expect to just be given free hosting. Even the so called "free hosting" hosts put banners, popups, pounders, etc on your website. So basically it isn't free since you are changing services (hosting vs promotion). I would understand if you wanted free hosting for cancer studies or something.. Anyways, good luck finding a web host that will give you a full featured web space without anything in return. You never know though, someone might just have a little too much money.

http://www.host.sk has that, although they're slow and not very reliable. The only other free host without ads that offers mysql is portland, but they expressly forbit forums.

Ones with lots of ads:
http://www.spaceports.com/
http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/

you could also check www.coolfreepages.com they offer all that but its the same deal as the above host... slow and not reliable but until i was willing to pay it worked fine for me. also i think its called spaceports.com that also has same features
but it wouldn't let me login after i signed up so i dunno
