I need help. Is there a way to create a hit counter using HTML, or do I have to download a program. I know how to do one using ASP, but I need one on a strictly HTML based page. Any help is appreciated greatly. Thanks

do a search on hit counters - html cannot control them you need something else like cgi, but there are free services
fyi: hit counters don't do much by themselves and they are not reliable - basic counters count each time the page is loaded - so if you look at your page 5 times a day the counter will go up by 5 - or if you reload 5 times.. again it will go up by 5
look for 'site stats' instead - there are many free ones out there as well
webtrendslive.com has a free version as does hitbox - hitbox is a bit more detailed but they do require a rather ugly banner graphic on all pages - webtrendslive's graphic isn't nearly as intrusive on your page - but they give less info, there are others as well, check a few out before you decide
