Locally on my computer I have made use of ASP using mySQL. I cannot find any hosting company that offers the use of ASP and mySQL. It seems only PHP and mySQL are used together. I've used MS Access some, but I keep reading how it is very limiting as a database program.

The site I'm working on will have a samll shopping cart, about 10 items. I know I need to use a secure server for that portion. Should I consider learning SQL Server 2000? Many use it. Is the software expensive and is it expensive to have it hosted? I have Visual Basic 6, but haven't ventured into it not knowing much about that program. (Not to mention the site will be in english and japanese, but I figured out how to make that function properly through the database).

Any sugestions?

ThaLab,

I saw your post and I have a solution for you. My company offers many web solutions, but one of the big things we do for our customers is put together custom hosting packages. We offer support for php, mysql, mssql, asp, and many other programming languages. Our hosting is not "Cheap", it is inexpensive. We offer quality hosting on our servers, not quantity hosting. If you have done some research you probably have seen the difference. If you could please contact me, we can put together a package and price for you and I know it will suit your needs!

You can check out our website: http://www.mabble.com
but for our custom packages just email me, and tell me exactly what you are looking for. If your not quite sure everything you need, we will put together an awesome deal for you!

I hope to hear from you soon! Email me at: kyle@mabble.com
