I would like to hear a little discussion of the different domain name registrars and their good points and thier bad. I have had experience with www.GoDaddy.com and www.Verisign.com and both have proven that they can handle domain names very well... GoDaddy seems to have a handle on the simplicity side (the registration process is very streamlined) and Verisign seems to have a good grasp on securit (it is what they are known for afterall).
Any opinioins?

Also, what do you think about subdomains? Should they be used instead of subdirectories or along side of them or never? Ideas?

domain registrars -
I use doster.com and have been pleased with their services. Through my host, I also use OpenSRS and have also been very satisfied with them.

subdomains - Personally I don't use subdomains. Besides the way you type the URL, I don't know if there is a technical advantage to using it or not. I look at subdomains as for sites that would have a section that might not be totally related to the main content or to seperate part of their site, such as a forum or support section.
