what is the most proper way to use Meta Tags?

Meta Tags are HTML tags which provide information to the search engines, describing the content of the webpages a user is likely to view. Search engines have recognized that website owners and administrators can use this resource to control their positioning and descriptions in search engine results. But what is the most proper way to use Meta Tags?

Thanks.

Meta tags are the important tag where you write the description of your website. The meta title and the heading used with keywords is good for ranking.

meta tags are officially page data tags that lie between the open and closing head tags in the HTML code of a document.example of using meta tag properly.

Not a Meta Tag, but required anyway
