What is Organic Traffic?

Hello Friends,

Please tell me what is organic traffic.

Pillars 03-14-2016 03:14 AM

Organic traffic is traffic that comes to your website as a result of "unpaid" search results.

Priyanka785 03-14-2016 03:15 AM

Organic search results are listings on search engine results pages that appear because of their relevance to the search terms, as opposed to their being advertisements. In contrast, non-organic search results may include pay per click advertising.

Organic traffic results are those who visit to your website by viewing the search results or the by the keywords they searched from the search engines.

The traffic that is coming through Google search or any other medium which is not paid can be called as Organic. This is how I would define organic traffic anyway. People call it only search traffic but I would want to include traffic from forums or social as organic as well.

Google traffic called organic traffic

Organic traffic is the opposite of paid traffic, which defines the visits generated by paid ads. Visitors who are considered organic find your website after using a search engine like Google or Bing, so they are not “referred” to any other website.
