can anyone tell how can we target a high competition keyword??

IF any keyword have very high keywords so get good ranking on that keyword you can focus on keyword to fix in your website. Mention Blow

1. You Can target keyword in website URL.
2. You can Fix Keyword in Meta Tags.
3. You Can Add Keyword in H1 Tag.

I agree with Smackck, what he had written about the target a high competition keywords. If you are targeting a website whose keywords are highly competitive, so for that you can use these things, I have just added one more point in that.

1.You can target the keywords in website URL
2. You can use the keywords in alt tag
3. You can use those keywords in H1 tag
4. You can use those keywords in the content of the website

These are few tips for target a high competition keyword-
Use as a proper Title for Blog Posts.
Also use in description, it Plays an Important Role.
Use of keyword in the ALT tags.
Use keyword in Internal Linking.
Do more Social Shares to Improve Keywords Ranking.
Use Long-Tail Keywords.

Do proper on page optimization of your website and then keep focus on the quality of your content and link building; these are two major factor of ranking.
But make sure that you're not doing anything which is not appropriate as per google guidelines.

But First can you tell me why do you want to target a high competitive keyword. Is your website ranking on less competitive keywords?

Optimize your keywords correctly in necessary places like insert the keywords in title,description,headers,body content.And while doing off page target that keyword in your submissions to get more number of quality backlinks.
