Google Keywords Tool - What to choose

Hello , newbie here...

When using Google Keywords Tool what are the aspects for better keyword to my case?
Should I go with the "Approx Avg Search Volume" and use the ones more used or the ones with less "Advertiser Competition" ?

Please advise.

Just set the desired geographical area and search for your targeted keyword/phrase. It's good to choose the keywords with the highest searches (exact searches for the desired locality) and low competition level. Just experiment with different keywords/phrases and make research until you find the desired one.

In using Google keyword tool, you should see if your chosen keyword has high search volume. Now, once you get through the process, check out the competition. It should be relatively low. It's hard to optimize a keyword which has high competition especially if your competitors have gone far ahead of you in their SEO efforts.

You should select keywords with high search volume and low competition. Also look at the geographic target area. if you are targetting any specific country than choose country before searching for keywords and select the local results from the list of keywords.

I think you should use keyword suggestion tools to get idea only. After getting idea search for those keywords and check what keywords those websites are using which are coming on top rank on those queries. Then choose target keywords for your website according to competition and search volumes.

If you have to target any specific location then, select the country and take the Approx. Local Monthly Search Volume with less competition for the query. But if you are targeting whole world for your product/services then take Approx. Global Monthly Search Volume.

Hope its clear now!
