Globalizing a local domain extension
 

There are some queries that I would like to ask and which is related to ccTLD. I am thinking of getting ccTLD. But I am interested in using a country code domain. There are lot of popular sites adopting the same technique. I am interested on changing my present site’s domain name and name. I want it shorter, ccTLD extension. Will this affect my SEO, SERPS, etc? What is your opinion on the local domain extension being globalized? Can you make a recommendation on that? I know it will really help me in some ways.
