I came by this article today and thought that it may spark some interesting debate, particularly considering that it goes against what many of us currently practice.

Aside from the fact that as SE algorithms evolve and therefore so must optimisation techniques, I'd be interested to know what members feel are invaluable tactics right now, or perhaps the most fundamental tactics which will stand the test of algorithmic evolution (if it is at all possible to determine how they may evolve - predicting the future anyone?).
