Page Authority is a proprietary metric calculated by SEOmoz to assess the likely ranking strength of a specific, single web page as measured by Google. The focus is an individual web page. The metric is calculated using a complex algorithm. In general terms, the algorithm is based on the Linkscape web index and includes a range of other variables such as link counts, mozRank and mozTrust. The algorithm is dynamic in that it constantly changes by comparing predicted rankings with actual rankings and updating the algorithm parameters accordingly.

Domain Authority
Whereas PA assesses the likely Google ranking of a single web page, DA measures the likely ranking strength of an entire domain or sub-domain, similar to MozRank and MozTrust.

DA, like PA, is also is based on a complex, dynamic algorithm. It can be measured using tools such as Open Site Explorer or the SEP toolbar called MozBar provided free by the SEOmoz, the well-known provider of SEO software.

Domain Authority is a score (on a 100-point scale) developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engines. Use Domain Authority when comparing one site to another or tracking the “strength” of your website over time. We calculate this metric by combining all of our other link metrics—linking root domains, number of total links, MozRank, MozTrust, etc.—into a single score.

Page Authority
is a score (on a 100-point scale) developed by Moz that predicts how well a specific page will rank on search engines. It is based off data from the Mozscape web index and includes link counts, MozRank, MozTrust, and dozens of other factors. It uses a machine learning model to predictively find an algorithm that best correlates with rankings across the thousands of search results that we predict against.

Domain Authority indicates how popular a domain name is and Page authority indicates how popular a web page is on the Internet.

In most cases DA is always higher than the PA.

Domain Authority (DA) is referred as the ranking ability of an entire domain
Page Authority (PA) is referred as the ranking ability of a particular page.

Domain Authority and Page Authority was released from Moz.com because they are giving some authority of domain on the base of popularity of domain in the search engines. Similarly about Page Authority that which page is very informative knowledge for the people who are visiting that page.
