How do I increase the number of google plus followers I have for my business page. Twitter and Facebook seem straightforward but I am having trouble with Google plus. Any ideas?

It is quite hard to gain followers in google+, why because the users of google+ is not as big like facebook and twitter. However, if you think majority of your audience can be found there then just choose the right communities that you can join, and the perfect time to market your business. But I suggest don't just focus on google+ look in to other platforms.

In order to be followed, you must follow others. It’s the name of the social media game.

You can do promoted posts on G+ in pretty much the same way you do them on Facebook and Twitter. Post content regularly & make use of those boosted posts to increase your followership.
