links which may normally be weighted by Google's ranking algorithm, not least improving the position of a webpage in Google's index, may be subjected to filtering to prevent their having a full impact. Some observations have suggested that two important factors for causing this filter to come into play are the active age of a domain, and the competitiveness of the keywords used in links.
also you can find a lot of results on internet

The Sandbox is a name given to an observation of the way Google ranks web pages in its index. The Google Sandbox Effect is a theory used to explain why newly-registered domains or domains with frequent ownership changes rank poorly in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPS). In other words new websites are put into a “sandbox” or a holding area and have their search ratings on hold until they can prove worthy of ranking.

The sandbox is when your website goes from having good rankings to being almost impossible to find.
I personally don't believe in the sandbox. I've had rankings disappear before, but they usually bounce back within time.

The concept of sandbox is about reducing the page rank of newly created domains temporarily. This strategy is done by Google so that the wrong optimizing methods applied by the SEOs (to outsmart Google’s page rank) don’t succeed. The SEOs try to get many inbound links for a website from the ones they own already.

sandbox is a place where new sites are kept to check for spam for new sites ranking

The Google Sandbox is basically a time period that websites must wait in order to start ranking for high competitive keywords. It's a filter system that Google places on new websites which have little to no trust.

There are many theories on the internet regarding the Google sandbox as it's not entirely clear, however, we do know that some sort of filter system exists which lasts between 3 to 9 months and some times claim even longer. This filter system will affect highly competitive keywords and will not show them in the SERPS.

The SandBox is a metaphorical term coined by SEOs and Webmasters, not associated with Google, to explain why most new Websites have very poor rankings in Google Search Engine Results Pages. It seems of late Google has been withholding high ranking ability of newly launched websites for 2-4 months.

When Google found some fresh content on the website then it take some time to review the content and website that this website is good for user point of view or not. This time is called sand box.
