Bing admits reciprocal links are fine
That being said, you should still try to avoid link farms, duplicate content, and any other popular schemes which dilute the Serps effectiveness.

Google is now returning punctuation results.
A punctuation mark by itself in a search query seems to be viewed as a character, unless you use it several times. Most of the punctuation searches seem to be bringing up wiki results for now, but...
