Should you consider both methods of marketing the same site to get a higher rank? In my opinion the answer is a resounding YES! To gain that extra SEO rank you need both marketing and SEO efforts going into the mix, and not one of them without the other.

So, what is better SEO or Digital Marketing? The answer is a different question than you may be thinking: It depends on your website.

When you think about your website as a machine, the search engine algorithms will affect your search engine ranking as well as your online visibility. Search engines use several factors to determine which pages on the Internet are "worthy" of being ranked high in the search results. This is especially true of the long tail, which consists of those small to medium sized websites.

When people are looking for products and services that are available through a specific industry, you want to make sure that you have a clear call to action for that action to be taken. You want to offer something useful to your audience. This can be as simple as giving a link that takes them to a company website, or it can be as complex as providing an expert opinion on a topic, which could take away from your natural search engine position.

The reason that this is important is because many Internet users will go straight to a natural, organic method of navigation - they don't need to leave the page they are on when they click on a link. This happens quite often on websites that are on the larger side of the scale, where there are a lot of small pages that might all use the same words.

In order to drive traffic to a website, especially organic traffic, you want to use a combination of SEO and digital marketing techniques. The reason is that both search engines and web users rank the importance of various components of a website, and not just one or the other. In other words, these tools are needed for your site to be successful.

How does your SEO stack up against your digital marketing? One of the ways to gauge this is to look at your site as a good organic search engine page ranking report would look. The problem is that the pay per click industry only focuses on the search results, not on the search engine algorithms.

If you are working on a website that has less competition and is not considered to be out of date, then the pay per click campaigns may be enough to build your rank. But if you have competitors with well established websites who also provide valuable information to their target audience, then you need a variety of techniques that draw visitors to your site. In this way you can build a reputation and an organic ranking that are second to none.
