There were no such software's available. But, there are many third party tools and software (which are not authorized or recommended by Microsoft in any way). I don't know the names of such softwares/tools exactly but i know one method, which can be used to break the password i.e. "forgotten password" option in the user control panel (it works in windows xp and also latest Windows OS's).
