Mobile marketing is similar to email marketing. but people sign up for your list and you communicate with them via their mobile phone versus their email inbox. To do this, you go ahead and use various strategies just like you would email marketing to get them to join.

For example if you were a restaurant, you might have a sign in the restaurant and on your website to have the prospect or customer type in what’s called a short code into their phone, that signs them up to your list. Then they can receive the coupon or discount for signing up.

This gets them on the mobile list with the use of an autoresponder like mobileautoresponder.com or any other of the services out there that can give you a way of communicating with those that are on your list.

It’s really the way things are going in the marketing world, because of the dominance of mobile devices.
