If you are looking to promote a webiste for SEO purposes, I use Google+ and Google local. Google local is a very fast way to get on Page 1 of the Google SERPS. Once they mail you a confirmation pin and your listing goes live immediately when you confirm, you can have agood shot at being on page 1 of your local listing. Think about this. If you are Google, and you own the code to the SERPS, would you give Facebook more credit and authority? Google+ always has highest Authority with Google. Use other social madia (I do). But don't neglect Google+
