The foundation of the
BMS College of engineering Bangalore was done in 1946 by Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah. He was a renowned visionary and humanitarian who collaborated with his son Late Sri B.S. Narayan to establish the 1st private engineering college of India and is now 69 years old and running as a premier institution of engineering in our country.
The college offers 13 courses in under graduation and 16 courses in post-graduation in traditional as well as advanced sectors of engineering education. The college is associated with 15 departments that are renowned and recognized as centres of intense research that provides degrees in PhD/MSc to students of science, architecture, engineering and management. The BMS College, Bangalore is highly efficient and effective in practising education in engineering that has positive and profitable outcomes.
Located in Bangalore, the area of the campus covers an expanse of 15 acres. The Bms College Bangalore is accredited by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to Visveswaraya University of Technology, Karnataka. It is approved by the COA (Council of Architecture) and is recognized by AICTE as a centre of Qualified Institutional Placement in technology and engineering. It is the sole institution of India that is fostered by the Melton Foundation of the United States. The BMS college of engineering Bangalore is in phase 1 and phase 2 of Technical Education Quality Improvement Program. BMSCE is NAAC accredited with grade A and also by national Board of Accreditation.
