If you want to build individual relationships, Twitter is better. You can tweet high quality relevant information directly to others by simple attaching their Twitter handle to the tweet.

If you want to market to groups, Facebook is better. Do a keyword search within Facebook with keywords relevant to your niche. Join the appropriate groups and offer meaningful and valuable information before marketing your product or service. In other words, build your authority status before trying to sell.
