In simple terms, WordPress is a software/web application, which is used to create website. Using WordPress a lot of coding can be avoided. WordPress allows its user to easily update the website from the back end admin dashboard without doing any code. It is a CMS (Content Management System), which is written in PHP/MYSQL, and is not chargeable to use.
