Pop ads after ad sense ads, perhaps are better because they give a lot more features and do not have such strict rules. However, the best way to make money is good and quality traffic. Articles are not exactly the best solution as the ads, traffic, nor for a backlink. I use the articles on my site as content works, that fix my SEO and ad boards for some 'real' quality traffic, and it provide a good earnings potential by promoting them.
