I have found ranking well in Yahoo is about building links like it is in Google. Although yahoo is not as strict in their guidelines and you can probably get away with more spamming in yahoo than in google. (Not that I am condoning any type of spam here). You should never practice spam because in the end, it will get you.

Content is king and its true. So also make sure you write original articles and don't scrape other people's content online. I've had that happen to me so many times that now I actually contact the website and let them know of the copying that has been going on with my articles. The website will take down the copied article so keep that in mind.
