Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering also has approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the government of India. Admission to Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering
Students who wish to pursue a course in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE) are required to undergo COMEDK and CET entrance examination. This test takes place during March and continues till 31st July. If any candidate takes a lateral entry via a diploma quota, then he/she has to pass through CET for joining the 3rd Semester. This lateral entry test takes places in July or August. The eligibility and criteria for different courses, however, varies accordingly.
• B.E Programs
If a candidate opts to pursue a bachelor’s course (BE), he/she needs to undertake CET and COMEDK exams, and according to the final score, the students will be shortlisted for the second round. Besides, they must have passed the 12th standard examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks and have specialization in subjects like chemistry, mathematics, and physics and optional subjects like electronics/biology/computer science.
• M. Tech Programs
For candidates willing to take up a master’s degree course, he/she should have passed a B. Tech or BE examination from a recognized college. The admission process started with a written examination conducted by the university and based on the marks shortlisted candidates are called for the single window counseling process. However, students who hold a valid score in GATE exam will be given first preference in admission than university rank holder.
• M.Sc. Engineering/ PhD
If a candidate applies for PhD, then the admission process starts with synopsis selection followed by ULRAT Test and an interview which is conducted by VTU. The candidate must possess a master’s degree certification from a recognized university. The eligible candidates will have to undergo a written test session based on which they can take part in the final interview round. Even for pursuing M.Sc. in engineering the admission process is similar, and the candidate should have a valid Bachelor’s degree certification.
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering Admission through Management Quota
The Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering offers admission to students through management quota. To qualify under this quota, the students must possess a minimum aggregate mark of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and must individually in each of the subjects. These three must be on their list of compulsory subjects.
