Wikipedia defines a website as a collection of related pages which may or may not contain some multimedia content typically identified under a common domain which is recognized by an IP address and is hosted on a web server. It can be hosted either on the web or even on LAN (Local Area Network) by referencing a Uniform Resource Locator which identifies it.
