How to get traffic from US or UK ? - Site Owners Forums

Hi,

I have a couple of web directories, which are doing quite well in terms of traffic. However, 95% of traffic is from India. From US or UK its only about 1% or 2%

How to get US or UK based traffic ? Is there any specific technique to do so ?

Please help me

Hi,
there is not any specific technique for getting traffic.i suggest you to Build content that would interest both US and UK visitors . This requires broad research. After that...build links from sites which are based in US and UK this will help you in having a good ranking in US as well as in UK from where you can get targeted traffic.

I was having the same issue. then I used feed submitting sites.It increased my traffic from US. So I think US and UK readers prefer feeds

Most effective ways is to build links from US ans UK sites. It's totally depend on you how you do that. You can do local directory submission, blog comments, blog posting, forum posting etc

Do local listing in usa or uk of Google and do some SMO of usa or uk pages.

In your webmaster you can mention geographic location of your business(directory). That does not ensure it will only send traffic from those locations, however, there would be an upward trend.

Consider spending money on marketing at your location. SEO, use .us domain.

Post your content that will help to US and UK people. Doing Social Media campaign for only US and UK people. Do Local business listing of US and UK's city. Post classified post for US and UK country. From that you get visitor from US and UK.
