A 302 redirect means that the move is only temporary. Search engines need to figure out whether to keep the old page, or replace it with the one found at the new location.

Redirection. Redirection is the process of forwarding one URL to a different URL. There are three main kinds of redirects: 301, 302, and meta refresh.

An HTTP status code of 302 means the page the client is attempting to get to has been briefly moved to an alternate area. With a 302 "Found" or "Moved Temporarily" divert, the server diverts the client to the new goal in spite of the first area as yet being utilized for demands.

302 redirect refers to temporary redirection of old URL to new URL. In SEO 302 redirection should be avoided and 301 redirection should be used. 302 redirection doesn't pass complete link juice to the new URL.

A 301 redirect means that the page has permanently moved to a new location. A 302 redirect means that the move is only temporary. Search engines need to figure out whether to keep the old page, or replace it with the one found at the new location.
