Blue Screen in Vista and not in Windows 7?
Has anyone tried Windows 7 yet? Let's cut to the chase. I got the Blue Screen of Death several times with Vista. Several times I got it because Vista did not allow for multiple virus detection programs being on one machine at the same time (they did not even have to be running). And now I am having a huge headache. I am getting the BSOD for seemingly just going through a collection of possible fonts that I might want to install. It seems there is a limit to the number of font windows you can have at the same time.
So naturally I am wondering what is next? And naturally I am wondering if really truly these problems are fixed with Windows 7. |

that is why i stopped using vista, there are so many issues you need to constantly upgrade it to make sure it runs properly... i'm currently using xp and i am having no complaints as it runs ever so smoothly...
the big problem with bsod though is there could be a myriad of reasons as to what causes a system error... mine had something to do with the hardware, i did a little tinkering here and there, made sure the components were properly attached... it worked for me, ...i haven't experienced a problem similar to yours, i think you'll have better luck if you sought help from a forum about computers...

Blue Screen in Vista and not in Windows 7?
In Vista (and Windows 7), unlike XP, where the system was essentially manual, the Windows Error Reporting has been improved & streamlined and improved in Windows 7 & Vista. One had to follow-up to see if a solution had become available. This was a rather painful process! In Vista / 7, this entire reporting and follow-up process is automated. Visit this site and follow the steps.
