To learn HTML 5 you should have at least some knowledge about HTML well don't worry HTML5 isn't that difficult as said by w3 schools use one of these tutorials to easily learn HTML5

One of the best ways to learn html5 having known html4 is seeing the difference between the two. There's a w3schools article on "html4 to html5 migration". The biggest differences is:

HTML4: <div id="header">
HTML5: <header>

There are other changes to HTML besides this.
