To get more traffic means your site is getting more visitors and the best way to get them is by making your site rank high in search engine results this means you mean to get more quality back links as well as quality content.
Another way which is more effective is by using social medias like face book, twitter, Google+, yahoo answers etc.

Only off page optimization can not drive more traffics to your site. Because now a days search engines also consider very carefully for on page optimization and so try to do all on page and off page optimization by search engines rules and guidelines.

To rank a site first need concentrate on link building and there so many tecniques. We have to concentrate on both onpage and offpage optimization for this

To get Rank in search engine you have to concentrate on both onpage and off page optimization. and the most thing is we have to concentrate on link building.
