Cross-linking is a process of linking among two websites. It is a link building process to build link and refers to the process of linking between two sites & Cross-linking helps to increase PageRank.
In simple words- "Cross-linking" means link recycling- Home Page you're the word which targeted in your next web page or services. you can put the link on it.

Crosslinking makes both elastomers and plastics stronger, but there is a problem. Because crosslinked materials don't melt, it is very hard to recycle them.
