How number of backlink is so high? - Site Owners Forums

I have submit a website URL to some directory.I have found that 1200 backlinks from one directory.Please tell me reason for it.

It happens, and it is normal as the web directory can have so many pages. There can be backlinks from tag pages, category pages, etc. So the number of backlinks can be high from one website.However, I suggest you avoid this type of web directory.

Some directories will give like this more backlinks, Avoid this type of directories.

yes..this type of directories are give bad seo results so just avoid.

That directory is auto generating your website's link. You need to contact to the webmaster for your website link removal. Too many backlinks from one website can be harmful.

you are submit only high page rank site submission only pr 10,9,8,7 etc.
