How much helpful is backlink?
We have a site of Islam of our own. We are trying to develop our page rank. We have given back-link to some sites already. But there is no improvement in our page rank. Should I be continue? How much sites I am to linked to develop our sites rank to or above 5.

Page Rank of a webpage solely depends on high-quality backlinks (other authority webpages linking to you). Outbound links (giving backlinks to other websites) hardly affects PR.
With PR3, it seems you do have some relevant, quality backlinks to your website. You will need to continue your linkbuilding efforts to improve it further. Also, since your blog is yet to achieve any PR, you will have to build good links to it all the more aggressively. And there’s no set ‘number’ of links that bring you a ‘certain’ PR. It’s about count + quality + relevance + speed of links built...Here I list a few techniques to build links: - Submit your website to popular social bookmarking sites - Guest post on niche related blogs - Register and participate in trafficable social networking sites - List in popular niche directories If your linkbuilding is organic (you aren’t buying/ exchanging links) & niche related, you should be able to see an improvement with the next PR update. P.S PR, however, is not that important a metric and there are much important ones like traffic, conversions, SERPs etc to worry about.

Rather than working on quantity, work on building quality backlinks for your website. linking to useless and meaningless sites will not help in increasing OR or traffic for your website so analyze the websites before linking to them.

There is no limit for backlinks, try to get more and more but make sure those are good quality links.

Backlinks are extremely important to ranking of website, but it is not how many sites you link to, but how many sites link to your website. Social media websites are your friends. So are forums. Regularly post in both. Link sharing sites like Reddit, and Digg are also invaluable tools to generating traffic. Forums will also provide the same opportunities to increase traffic.

Back links are very important to increase the rank of the site we can build the back link of the site by using the various off page techniques That are good way to build the back links.

Backlinks is helpful in terms of driving traffic and increasing visibility to search engines. It would be good to do it continuously slow and steady.
