Social networks help to increase traffic to your website or blog, but a good amount of traffic is not the objective. The best option to subscribe to a niche group is associated with. To do this, LinkedIn is the best choice.

Yeah, they work but you have to match your webpage contents with social site you want to advertise it. Otherwise you won't generate traffic.

It all depends on how you are using it. I have seen people spending days on it, but it usually ends up with no result. I strongly agree with "isoconsultantgm" ... it all depends on your post quality.

For me social networking sites are working to get traffic to our websites and blogs. Mainly we do use facebook as it is very powerful in getting traffic.
