XML-Sitemap importance?
Hello Guys,
Suppose if we don't put sitemap on site, then what are the problems will I face? please help let me know importance on sitemap.

Sitemaps are an important part of a website. Not only is it a map of your site, it is a communication tool between your site and search engines. Sitemaps also adapt your site for SEO.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a marketing strategy that allows search engines to find and rank your site in their search results. Sitemaps are a way for your site to communicate with search engines such as Google, MSN or Yahoo.
The Importance of a Sitemap
• The importance of a sitemap goes hand in hand with the importance of SEO. SEO is essential to generating website traffic and revenue. On the other hand, sitemaps are essential to getting those search engine “spiders” to search, index and rank the content of your site.

effective way for you to give the search engines a list of all the URLs you want them to crawl and index. If the search engines don’t find your site or specific pages on it, your prospects won’t either!

Sitemap helps spider to crawl your website easily, also visitor to know the info of pages.

Infect it is very important and every webmaster should submit it into Google Webmaster Tool because it guide search engines to crawl website pages therefore you shouldn't ignore it and robot.txt file is also very important in on-page SEO.

Search engine robots can't crawl your whole website, they crawl your website using sitemap..

An XML site map is a file you place on your website that lists some or all of the pages in your site. The idea is that search engine spiders can read the site map file(s), and locate all of your pages so they can be indexed. You can also give some useful information such as the relative priority of pages for crawling.

Sitemap does fast site index. How many are URL in site? And How many are crawl URl in site?

You can consider the situation like that you are searching some home address in NY city witout having any address in your hand, it will be the condition of the search engines when it will try to index your site.

Without sitemap Google can't index your new update to your site..It is must...

A Sitemap is an XML file that lists the URLs for a site. It allows webmasters to include additional information about each URL: when it was last updated, how often it changes, and how important it is in relation to other URLs in the site. This allows search engines to crawl the site more intelligently.

Importance of XML sitemap are
Easy for bot to crawl the pages, it is search engine spider friendly sitemap.
Easy to index the pages.
