Do Follow / No Follow Backlinks

Before you add a link to a site, is there a way to figure out if it is going to be a do follow or no follow backlink?

Do follow and no follow

Do follow websites are always recommend while no follow websites provide back links but not recommendation.

When ever a new blogger set up its own blog the first thing which is comes to in mind is how will my web page hit first page on google search results.

If a link is set to nofollow it means google bot crawl the link and won't pass any link juice this is how no follow link look

Do follow link passes the link juice and they definitely help you much in order to achieve the good page rank.

That is correct but you will be able to know whether the link is do follow or no follow by "INSPECTING AN ELEMENT USING EITHER RIGHT MOUSE CLICK or F12" and look into the "a" tag, it will show something called rel="nofollow" if its a no follow link and if nothing is listed or rel tag is missing then it's a do follow link

It all depends on the site which type of site you are using for link building. Some additional tools also helpful in this.

You can check out the other post having links to other websites. Just right click on the link and the select "element". And you can read there link= nofollow/dofollow.

And you can also add plugins to check the status of links on a webpage. These plugins highlights the nofollow links and dofollow links with different color so you can easily which one is dofollow and which one is nofollow link.

Interesting veraajverma. I'm assuming the plugin would be added to your website to check existing links, but would have no benefit of checking links outside of those linking your own website, correct?

Do follow and No follow both back links are very important to get ranking on search engine. But both link on high PR sites and relevant sites.

Both do follow and no follow link very important but no follow the link it does not pass on link juice. and not improvement keyword ranking in google but no follow link will help to get more traffic your site and do follow the link it helps to improve the keyword ranking and improve your website traffic.

You can right click on the link of the website and select "Inspect element". This works well in Chrome and Firefox. When you look at the code, if see a rel="nofollow" anywhere between the anchor tags, then the links is nofollow and won't pass link juice.

yes, you can click "view source" by right clicking and seeing the code "rel=nofollow" also in the meta tag robots , if it says "nofollow" if it says for example <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> that is nofollow. If it says "follow" than its dofollow. If there isnt a meta tag and there isn't a "rel=nofollow" than its more than likely dofollow.

You can get browser extensions that will highlight nofollow links, Highlight NoFollow is one for firefox for example.
It is important to note that you do need nofollows, normally sites will have a range of links, both dofollow and nofollow. Many people think that Google does not ignore nofollow links but uses them to build a picture of a site. If your site does looks suspicious due to the lack of nofollows you may be penalised. Plus nofollows can direct traffic to your site.
