You are solely focused in SEO and overlooked the most important part why we are optimizing the website. Is it for SEO only? for search engines only? or else?
It must be for the target audience and it must be earned not in manipulation process like cross linking.

Crosslinking is the technique in which two websites share their links, the link of one website is inserted on other and the link of another website is inserted on first.

That is the widely inclusive term for connecting between locales, in SEO it's typically approaching connections (backlinks) that support a site's positioning, in spite of the fact that the complete absence of active connections may appear to be unnatural, connecting to a couple power destinations in your field most likely enhances your positioning too.

Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two sites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.

Cross Linking is the craft of making connections inside a site. In an exceptionally customary format, you may have a landing page and after that to different pages (page An and page B). The landing page would contain connections to both.

Cross-Linking
would then be the place you make joins from, for instance:

Page A to Page B

Page B to Page A

Page A to the landing page

Page B to the landing page
