There are two sitemaps in SEO:
The XML sitemap is outlined structures of your site, and XML format is understood by search engine bots only.
HTML sitemap are designed for the user to help them find content on the page.

In simple terms, a Sitemap is an XML file that is full of your individual webpage's URLs. It's like an archive of every webpage in your website. This file should be easily discoverable in your site in order for search engine crawlers to stumble upon it.

Sitemaps are very important for each website.
There two types of sitemaps are there,
HTML sitemap - Which is used for human identification
XML sitemap -Which is used for system identification
