i think both are very useful, but in different dynamic ways. For example through Twitter, i will find out what exactly is current in news, and what topics are trending. Facebook is more laid back and used mostly for entertainment and business e.g adverts, commercials etc

Depends on what you're looking for. Both have passionate audience who love being there. And the behavior of the users vary. So if you wanna appeal to the masses and get into a conversation with anyone or anything trending, use twitter. Otherwise, facebook is best for you!
