Duplicate content on a different domain has a pessimistic effect on SEO. Duplicate content has a direct negative impact on your rankings in the search results. It is a content that appears on the Internet in more than one place. It also refers to meaningful blocks of content within or across domains that either completely matches other contents is considerably similar. Mainly, this is not deceptive in origin. In some cases where Google thinks that you have copied content from another source, it can even result in a duplicate content penalty.

Duplicate contents can be checked using various online tools like Copyscape. These contents are harmful for your website and should be removed immediately to avoid search engine penalties.

Duplicate content confuses Google and forces the search engine to choose which of the identical pages it should rank in the top results.
