Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits (or web sessions). It is the number of visits in which a person leaves your website from the landing page without browsing any further. Google analytics calculates and reports the bounce rate of a web page and bounce rate of a website.

The bounce rate measures the number of people who arrive at your site, then leave your site after viewing just one page (instead of going on to explore other pages on the site). Such a visit is called a bounce.

Bounce rate is an online marketing metric that refers to the percentage of visitors who land on one page of your website and exit without viewing any other pages. As a metric that tracks single-page visitors, bounce rate reflects your website’s effectiveness at retaining visitors.

Bounce rate can be reduced with low size images & high quality unique content.

A bounce is a single-page session on your site. In Analytics, a bounce is calculated specifically as a session that triggers only a single request to the Analytics server, such as when a user opens a single page on your site and then exits without triggering any other requests to the Analytics server during that session.

Bounce rate is single-page sessions divided by all sessions, or the percentage of all sessions on your site in which users viewed only a single page and triggered only a single request to the Analytics server.

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits. Bounce rate is a measure of visit quality and a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren’t relevant to your visitors.

Bounce rate is the percentage of visitors to a given website that leave the site after viewing only a single page. A high bounce rate is usually a sign that your website is not user-friendly.

The bounce rate measures the quantity of individuals who touch base at your site, at that point leave your site in the wake of review only one page (rather than going ahead to investigate different pages on the site). Such a visit is known as a bounce.
