Best way to rank on google is do the all type of SEO. Don't be depended on only one thing. Article submission, blog posting and commenting, social bookmarking, directory submission and press release, there all are made for seo. Do all on high pr site.
Best thing is that your own site data structure and content is matter.
So your site should have the unique data and content.
