How Speedy is your website?

Google has recently announced Speed Update rolling for all users & having a tortoise-speed loading will negatively impact your website and similarly to rankings.
Just make sure your site is well-loading else be prepared to suffer.

The standards many have been using for page load time come from a study conducted by Geoff Kenyon where he compares website speed against the rest of the web:

if your site loads in 5 seconds, it is faster than approximately 25% of the web

if your site loads in 2.9 seconds, it is faster than approximately 50% of the web

if your site loads in 1.7 seconds, it is faster than approximately 75% of the web

if your site loads in 0.8 seconds, it is faster than approximately 94% of the web

An important factor that some website owners sometimes overlook is their website speed. How fast a website can load is as important as its design and content.

Internet users aren't known for their patience. If you make them wait – for information, for downloads, for anything, in fact, they will click away from your website.
