ALT tag is very important in SEO. search engine don't read image but only text this tag inform search engine what our image is all about

Nice Question, Search Engine read ALT tag so we have to use ALT tag for Image optimization and other benefit is that ALT tag easily fetch by search engine so time consuming for search engine.

Alt tag will show the file name to search engine for understanding.

Search engines "Alt tag" only understand. the alt tag contains only about image description.

Alt tag describe about Image. search engine can't understand image pixels. that's why we use ALT tag with in image tag.

image alt tag is used to identify the image in case of image missing.that text in the image tag tells what the image is.
