You can sign up for freelance work sources like Odesk, create a profile there and start applying for jobs as they come open. At first you may have to keep your hourly price low and accept most jobs offered to you. The more job you do the more you can put in your CV. Also, you need to do a good job because people rate your work and other employers see their rating.

I've never heard of Odesk. I will check that out. Sounds interesting.

Outsourcing business is boom nowadays and many companies are outsourcing some of their task such as data entry or data transcription services.

You can simply get registered with some freelance job sites like freelancer, odesk, elance and try searching for the jobs you want. on the other hand try locating the any companies which outsource some of their work and find some suitable to you.
