what is 301 redirection, and how its important for website seo, i read it some where about redirection but there are no fully information, so please share your review about it.

I am not from SEO background but i know about 301 redirection. I have use 301 redirect on on my website.

It is a method of redirecting user from the old page url to the new page url. 301 redirects tells the search engines that the old page has been permanently moved to the new url. As such, it helps to maintain the search engine rankings for that particular page. This method also helps to transfer the page rank of the old webpage to the newly created web page.

Below are some importance:

1) To redirect visitors from an old page to a new page.
