Why inbound links to sites are taken into account?

Inbound links also called Backlinks. backlinks are very important for the site. if you have good backlinks for the site. your site's ranking will be improve.

Inbound links are internal links of a site. They are effective on page tool specially after google hummingbird update.

They are count as it shows how many peoples talked about that site on Web and they indicate to blog so Google and all other search engines prefer them.
