Probably your best defense is to have a clean, authoritative link profile. Google is looking at your entire pattern and history of links, and if your site is strong with generally high-quality links, it’s a lot harder to do you damage with a short-term attack.

I need to know how to check the negative seo and what is negative seo , is it used for dropping the site ranking and PR by other web-masters .

Negative seo means making any site bad image on the eye of the search engines with linking to bad sites .

yes you can track by google analytic see from where people visiting your website and also check your website backlinks then you can find if some negative work have done for your website.
