No, it will not drop you out totally. What I mean is, Google is giving more priority to fresh contents (based on the "Query Deserves Freshness" Algorithm) that they will bring up contents that are fresher than the others.

So, if you have posted or updated your content, it will only good for few days. After someone posted their contents that related to your niche, your content will not be at the same position anymore.

Anyway, I'm not talking about a drop of the entire site.
